Arte Flamenco is synonymous with traditional flamenco, but with added originality and a modern touch. Arte Flamenco are based in Denmark, but you can hardly say that the group is Danish. The music is mainly based on compositions by the French singer Thierry Boisdon and the Swedish guitarists Robban Svärd and Emil Pernblad - add to this the body and soul of constantly changing constellations of dancers and musicians. This is why you cannot say that you know what Arte Flamenco is about, after only hearing them once - but you may have caught a glimpse of The Art Of Flamenco.

The changing of musicians and dancers is due to the fact that flamenco in the modern world no longer is only the music of the Spanish gypsies, but has become a universal musical language where musical skills are highly appreciated. And therefore you can never be sure that your ventriloquistic percussionist is not taking a special arabic drumming course in Cairo just when you need him, or that your elegant dancer is not "zapateando" at a famous tablao in Japan. This makes the planning all that more important- but it keeps us open minded and the music more interesting, not only for the musicians, but also for the audience.

But... Arte Flamenco is not only that. You will also find that Arte Flamenco invites special groups or soloists to perform using their own name. What you can be sure of is that whenever Arte Flamenco perform, it will be within the Art of Flamenco.
