Robert Svärd (guitarist) was educated at the Australian International Conservatorium Of Music and Sydney Conservatorium Of Music.

In 1994 he was elected to perform as a soloist at the "State Choral Concerts" at the Sydney Opera House, and at the State Spectacular 94 at the Sydney Entertainment Stadium. That same year, he also won the highly prestigious Sydney Eistedfodd for Classical guitarists.

Living in Seville from 1998 - 2001 he worked as a professional guitarist, performing mainly with El Pechuga, a popular singer native to Seville, but also with the popular group La Cabra Mecanica with whom he collaborated on the album "Vestidos de Domingo". In 1999 he performed on Pechugas´ fourth album, "Entre el 2000 y las tres mil" and on Thierry’s first solo album "No soy Flamenco" in 2005.

On his return to Sweden he, along side his collegue and friend, Emil Pernblad started the groups Aire Flamenco and Calle Nueva, which he regularly performs with. Other groups he regularly work with include Thierry Boisdon, Erik Steen Flamenco Fusion and Soniquete.
